Sharon MorrellSharon Lynne (Hammond) Morrell was born on August 24, 1957 at Climax, Saskatchewan, Canada to Marcus and Josie (Klassen) Hammond. The oldest of five children, she went to grade school in Climax and attended high school in Frontier, Saskatchewan, graduating in 1975. After high school graduation, she went to work in Winnipeg, Manitoba; from there she lived and worked in Saskatoon, SK; Medicine Hat, Alberta; Pambrun, SK; and Edmonton, Alberta. She attended Millar Memorial Bible Institute, Pambrun, Sask. from 1980 - 1981. On December 11, 1993, she was united in marriage to Jack Morrell at Bracken, Sask. Following their marriage they moved to Sioux Falls, SD, where Jack was employed at John Morrell Co. She received her bachelor's degree and became a U.S. citizen in 2014.Grateful for having shared her life are her three sons, Colton, Cruz, and Kyle, all of Sioux Falls; a step daughter, Dawndi, Pearland, TX; grandchildren, Mi Anna and Angel; one brother, Errol (Wendy) Hammond, Shaunavon, Saskatchewan; and three sisters, Ida (Tim) VanderVorst, Mound City, SD; Brenda Hammond, Red Deer, Alberta and Yvonne (Larry) Jensen, Climax, Sask.She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack in 2001, her mother, Josie in 2008 and her father, Marcus in 2013. The family wishes that memorials be directed to Millar College of the Bible in Pambrun, Sask, Canada.A funeral service for Sharon will begin at 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 12, 2016 at Faith Baptist Fellowship in Sioux Falls. Visitation the family present will be on Sunday at Heritage Funeral Home in Sioux Falls from noon to 2:00 p.m.
