ALBION — Sharon M. Schaefer, 68, of Albion passed away at 9:50 p.m. on Wednesday, April 20, 2016, at Parkview Noble Hospital. She passed away surrounded by her family. Sharon was born on May 22, 1947, in Salamanca, New York. She was born to Ray and Ann (Smith) Shroyer. She spent her formative years in Fort Wayne and graduated from South Side High School. For the last three years she had been a resident of Northridge Village in Albion. She loved doing crafts, spending time with family, and country music, especially Willy Nelson. The surviving relatives included her mother, Ann Shroyer of Albion; two sons, Steven and Marc Smith; five grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, Ray Shroyer, and a sister, Margaret "Marge" Heckman. Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 25, 2016, at 11 a.m. at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home in Churubusco. Calling will be on Sunday, April 24, 2016, from 2-5 p.m., or one hour prior to the services. Memorials may be directed to Bear Lake Camp Scholarship.
