It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Sharyl Rains, who was born on February 13, 1977, and passed away on February 12, 2024. Sharyl lived in Leduc, Alberta, Canada for most of her life, before finally moving to New Orleans, Louisiana, fulfilling her dream to become a starving artist in the French Quarter.

Sharyl leaves behind 2 children, Jakob Rains in Edmonton, AB and Lily Beck in New Westminster, BC.

Sharyl's creativity provided intricate story ideas that reached literary, screen, and music development and completion, working through Sole Source Soul Production. Holding a passion for writing, Sharyl was known for her dedication to her work and her prolific, creative spirit.

Tragically, Sharyl passed away due to an accidental overdose. Her untimely death has left a void in the lives of those who knew and loved her during her last days in New Orleans. Sharyl will be deeply missed and fondly remembered for her warmth, kindness, artistic talents, and her sharp, Canadian wit.

Cremation has already taken place. Interment location to be disclosed on February 13, 2025.
