AVILLA — Shawn G. Yoquelet, 43, of Avilla died Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2014, from injuries in a traffic accident in Noble County. Mr. Yoquelet was a 1990 graduate of Bellmont High School. He was a member of the Moose Lodge 33 in Muncie. He was born on Oct. 30, 1970, in Fort Wayne to Byron J. and Colleen (Mossburg) Yoquelet. He married Melissa J. Hudson on July 24, 1989, in Van Wert, Ohio. She survives in Avilla. Also surviving are two sons, Shawn B. Yoquelet of Fort Wayne and Nicholas J. Yoquelet of Avilla; a daughter, Alyssa J. Yoquelet of Avilla; two sisters, Malynda (Gordy) Custer of Van Wert, Ohio, and Brenda Gray of Decatur; four brothers, Bill (Cindy) Moffett of Decatur, Ed (Amy) Stove of Decatur, Corey Yoquelet of Oakland, California, and Carey Yoquelet of Garrett; his father-in-law, James (Marcia) Hudson of Muncie; and his mother-in-law, Sandra (Richard) Fravel of Geneva. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, 520 N. 2nd. St., in Decatur, with Pastor Daniel Cosentino officiating. Interment will follow in the Decatur Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Monday. Preferred memorials are to the donor's choice.
