Shayla Waughtel, beloved resident of Carlisle, Pennsylvania, passed away on March 31, 2025, at the age of 24. Born on April 21, 2000, Shayla lived a life filled with love, laughter, and adventure.

Shayla was a devoted mother to her two children, who meant the world to her. She found joy in watching them grow and flourish, and her love for them knew no bounds.

She is survived by her adopted parents, Josh and Leanne Albright; two children; six sisters; three brothers; and several nieces and nephews. Shayla was preceded in death by her biological mother, Christine Richardson, and her maternal grandmother, Lenora Richardson.

Shayla had a passion for helping others and always went out of her way to lend a helping hand to those in need. Her generosity and kindness touched the lives of many in her community, and her impact will never be forgotten.

Shayla had a vibrant spirit and a contagious smile that lit up any room she entered. Her energy and positivity were a constant source of light for those around her, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Though Shayla's time on this earth was cut short, her memory will live on forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. May she rest in peace, knowing that she was cherished and adored by so many.

In accordance with the family’s wishes, there will be no formal funeral services. Her cremains will be interred privately.
