Shedrick passed away on Monday July 27,2020, at his home.

 

Shedrick Lawson was born in Hancock County, GA on January 6, 1954 to Mr. Horace Lawson and Roxie Lawson. From Childhood on he as know for his warm smile and engaging personality.

 

He started his educational journey at Hancock Central Schools.  He played basketball, football and baseball. He then matriculated at Fort Valley State College where he received his Bachelor's degree. He then began his career as a teacher in the Hancock County School System where he was know for his innovative teaching methods and was loved and respected by his students.

Because of his love of teaching, after retiring from the Hancock State Prison until the lord called him home.  Shet was also an entrepreneur at heart, and at ariouis times operated a restaurant, a billard parlor, Po Boy's Landscape Services and Po Boy's fish & Veggie Farm.

Shet is survivied by brother Harrell and Arthur and sisters LaVern and Valerie. He is also survived by a host of nieces ans nephews.  

Shedrick Lawson was a lifelong member of St. Paul CME Church.

His life was such that and he will be missed.

Graveside services will be Saturday, August 8th, 2020
