Sheila Atkission, a beloved member of the Killeen, Texas community, passed away on October 17, 2024, at the age of 97. Born on March 8, 1927, Sheila lived a full and vibrant life. She was known for her kindness, generosity, and unwavering positive spirit. Sheila was a dedicated member of her community, always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. Her presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Sheila leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion that will continue to inspire others for years to come. She will forever hold a special place in the hearts of those who knew her. She is survived by three sons, Richard L. Stockton III and wife, JoAnn, of California, Robert Stockton of Texas and James Stockton and wife, Joyce, of Decatur; five daughters, Judy Nex and husband, Ken, of Mississippi, Maureen Navarro and husband, Oscar, and Kathy Hernandez and husband, Esmely, all of Killeen, Sharon Lawrence of Indiana and Nora Barber and husband, Eddie, of Phoenix, Ariz.; 23 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
