Shelby Norwood, Jr. was born on September 9, 1939, in Crystal Springs, Mississippi. He passed away on June 24, 2024. He was the son of Shelby Norwood and Nina Mae Norwood. Shelby was married to Shirley Norwood in 1955 and together they raised two children, Donell Norwood and Sabrina Norwood. He has one sister, Patricia Norwood and a host of nieces and nephews.

Shelby grew up in Crystal Springs and attended Crystal Springs High School, where he graduated in 1957. He went on to lead a fulfilling life surrounded by family and friends. He was a loving spouse, parent, and grandparent, and his legacy will live on through his five grandchildren.

Shelby Norwood will be deeply missed by all who knew him. May he rest in peace.
