It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Sheliah Peat, born on October 3, 1953, and went to be with the Lord on October 8, 2024. She resided in Montgomery East, Alabama, United States.

Sheliah was the daughter of Abraham and Mary Brantley. In 1975, she married her loving husband Charles Peat, and together they raised three children: Temesha, Vonderrick, and Ramel. She was also blessed with two grandchildren.

Sheliah attended Dallas County High School, graduating in 1967. She continued her education in the United States Air Force, earning her degree in 1982. She dedicated her career to the United States Air Force, serving for 30 years until her retirement in 2003.

Aside from her military service, Sheliah was actively involved in the Salvation Army organization and was awarded a PhD in Psychology for her dedication to helping others. She served as a Sergeant in the 534 unit of the Air Force, and her commitment to her country and community was unwavering.

In her free time, Sheliah enjoyed being a homemaker and spending time with her family. Her love and kindness will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Sheliah passed away after a courageous battle with Cancer, leaving behind a legacy of strength, compassion, and service.
