Drowatzky, Sheridan B., 71, retired elementary educator with USD 259, passed away Wednesday, March 11, 2009. Visitation: 2-4 PM, Sunday, March 15, Broadway Mortuary, 1147 S. Broadway. Funeral Services: 1:30 PM, Monday, March 16 at College Hill United Methodist Church, 2930 E. First. Interment will follow at Lakeview Cemetery, 12100 E. 13th. Sheridan was born on March 1, 1938 in Waurika, Okla., the daughter of Jerry and Edwina Brandon. She graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 1960 with a degree in Elementary Education and was a lifetime member of the University of Oklahoma Alumni Association and the Sooner Club. She was active with the OU Club of Wichita and served as their Membership Chair. Sheridan also was active through her church, College Hill United Methodist, in which she served on various committees and most recently was serving as Chairwoman for the Board of Trustees and was a longtime member of the Builders Sunday School class. She also was active with the Daughters of the American Revolution. In her free time, Sheridan enjoyed playing bridge, going to Bridge Camp, doing genealogy research, cooking, supporting OU Sooner athletics and the quest for the perfect margarita. She is survived by her husband, Ernest, son Eric of Burlington, N.C., daughter Stacy (Dean) Zimmer of Andover, Kan., son Clark (Becky) of Spring, Texas, granddaughter Madison Zimmer, grandsons Gordon and Garrett Zimmer, grandson Luke Drowatzky and granddaughter Kate Drowatzky.
