Sherly Jones, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on July 18, 2024, in Birmingham, Alabama. She was born on April 5, 1972, to Buford and Eva Jones.

Sherly leaves behind two loving children, Carol and Kathy, as well as four adoring grandchildren. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who always put her family first.

She attended Huffman High School and graduated in 1982. Sherly had a passion for reading and writing, spending countless hours lost in her favorite books or creating poetry and stories of her own.

Despite her battle with cancer, Sherly never lost her sense of humor and zest for life. She will be remembered for her infectious laughter and positive outlook on even the darkest of days.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the American Cancer Society in Sherly's memory.

Sherly Jones may be gone, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Rest in peace, dear friend.
