Sherrill MillerMay 31, 1944 - August 24, 2015Sherrill Jean Miller, 71, one beautiful, extraordinary woman, passed away on August 24, 2015 at Portneuf Medical Center.Sherrill was born on May 31, 1944 in Los Angeles, CA. She was extremely smart and excelled in school. She was offered a full-ride scholarship to BYU, but on Valentine's Day in 1959, she attended a dance and fell head over heels with Arthur Lee Miller. They were high school sweethearts and inseparable. They married on September 19, 1964 and were later sealed for time and eternity in the Los Angeles Temple.Sherrill started her career as a banker and when she retired at the age of 48, she was the Chief Human Resource Officer at Airtech International. Together, Sherrill and Art had two children, Trevor and Traci. They raised their family in Cerritos, CA until 1992, when they decided to move to Blackfoot, Idaho, to build their dream home.Sherrill and Art enjoyed traveling. They would always bring back souvenirs and really neat collectibles that until this day are in her curio cabinets. She was an amazing cross-stitcher. She loved to cook and entertain friends and family. She decked her home out for every holiday and loved having the family over on Christmas Eve. She collected beautiful mini teacup sets, carousel horses, and Norman Rockwell plates. She loved her
UCLA Bruins. She would never miss a grandchild's sporting event or dance competition. She was their biggest fan!Sherrill is survived by her mother, Beverly Knox; husband, Arthur Miller; two children, Trevor (Wendy) Miller; Traci (Donnie) Whaley all of Pocatello; a brother, Mike Knox, Tennessee; grandchildren, Kyle, Keilani, Madison, Riley, Cheyne; and great-grandchildren, Sophia, Kaden, Kashlin and Bauston. She is preceded in death by her father, Robert Knox; and her brother, Jerry Knox.At her request, she will be cremated and wants the cremated remains of she and her husband, (when his time comes) to be scattered at a gorgeous site at the Continental Divide. She did not want a funeral, but rather a Celebration of her Life, which will be held at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, September 5, 2015 at the home of her daughter, 2108 Cassia Street, Pocatello, Idaho.
