Millsop, Sherrill Sherrill Millsop, 90, a 57 year resident of Arizona, passed away on June 5, 2017. She was born on April 15, 1927 in New Castle, PA. She attended public schools in New Castle and Beaver, PA. As a young woman she entered the health care field and for many years worked as an office nurse for physicians and surgeons in private practice and in hospitals in Pennsylvania and Arizona. In 1960, she and her husband Harold (Bud), and two children, moved to Arizona when Harold was offered the position of choral director at Arcadia High School. At age 49 she discovered the joy of playing tennis, with her son as a teacher and husband as a mentor and doubles partner, she derived great pleasure on the courts for 25 years. After 62 years of a very happy marriage, Harold died in September 2009. She is survived by her daughter, Ann Thompson, and son, Rob, both of Phoenix and a sister, Mary Hoffman, of Hermitage, PA. Also, three grandchildren: Caitlin and Lesley Thompson from New York, Joseph from Los Angeles, and great-grandson Peter. She was predeceased by her younger brother, William King of Burgettstown, PA in 2009. She lived a full life with joy, humor and love. At her request, no services will be held.
