THEETGE, Sherry M.of Cayuta, NY passed away on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at the age of 73 surrounded by her loving family. Sherry was born on September 21, 1943 in Elmira, NY, one of fifteen children to the late William and Helen Spencer Comfort. She is predeceased by son, Kenneth "Stub", grandson, Shawn Beach, son-in-law, Ralph "Skip" Beach; brothers, Linden, Ronnie, Marv, Norm, Corky, Jay, and Vernon Comfort and sisters, Jeannie, Birch, Ruth Sampson, Winnie Struble, Mavis White and Gloria Jordan. Sherry is survived by her loving & devoted husband, Kenneth Theetge; children, Norman (Lyn) Theetge, Ryan (Sue) Theetge, daughter-in-law, Sharon Theetge; daughters, Gena (Jim) Benedict, Dianna (Jim Personius) Beach, Johanna (Rich Morgan) Theetge and Paula (Steve Lyon) Theetge; beloved grandchildren, Fiji (Mary), Angela, Mike (Patrice), Ryan (Corrie), Curt (Carissa), Brandon, Nathan (Amanda), Kristen (Shad), Sherry (John), Jimmy (Tia), Chris (Sarah), Matt (Marissa), Courtney (Mark); great grandchildren, Lucy, Evelyn, Peter, Kyla, Abigail, Madalyn, Jaden, Emmie, Austin, Ava, Briley and Brandilyn; sister, Dixie (Bob) VanHouten; brother, Dale (Bonnie) Comfort; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and a large and loving extended family. Sherry was blessed with 56 years of marriage and will be lovingly remembered for the care and thoughtfulness of raising such a large family. She was very loving, caring, selfless person with a wonderful sense of humor. She enjoyed and always looked forward to the holidays and any special gatherings with the family. She is already missed by all that knew and loved her. The family will welcome relatives and friends to Sullivan's Funeral Home, 365 E. Franklin St. at Rt. 13, Horseheads, NY on Saturday, February 4, 2017 from 2-4:30 PM with services to follow. She will be laid to rest at Maple Grove Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
