Sheryl was born on February 17, 1950, to loving parents Ezell and Emma Chase who preceded her in death and she lived a life filled with love, compassion, and joy.

Throughout her life, Sheryl was an exceptional individual who made a positive impact on the lives of all those fortunate enough to know her. Her warm smile, infectious laughter, and genuine kindness touched the hearts of many, leaving a lasting impression wherever she went.

A native of Anniston, Sheryl grew up in a close-knit community, fostering lifelong friendships with neighbors and classmates. She attended Anniston High School, where she excelled academically while actively participating in various extracurricular activities. Sheryl's love for learning continued as she pursued higher education, earning a Bachelor's degree in Education from the University of Alabama.

With a true passion for teaching and nurturing young minds, Sheryl embarked on a fulfilling career as an elementary school teacher. For over three decades, she dedicated her time and energy to shaping the lives of countless children, leaving an indelible mark on each student she encountered. Sheryl's most cherished role in life was that of a mother to her two children, Shelina and Malcom and her stepdaughter, Leslie. As a grandmother, Sheryl found immeasurable joy in the company of her four grandchildren Devon, Skyler, Jada and Taylor.
