Sheryl (Cook) Youngs, passed away at the age of 61, on July 22, 2023, in her Thomasville, Missouri home surrounded by her beloved family. Sherry was born on December 01, 1961 in Salina, KS to Bill Julian and Violet May (Kennedy) Cook. She was the 7th born in a family of 9 Children.
Sherry lived for her children and grandchildren. She was always their biggest fan and supporter in whatever they did, they were her greatest blessings. Sherry was a beautiful, happy, free-spirited soul and was a blessing to everyone around her. She led a simple and happy life. She enjoyed being barefoot outside in the sun and lived by the quote "dance like no one is watching".
Sherry leaves behind her Husband and soul mate Randy Youngs, Daughter Stephanie Lopez of Halstead, KS, Son Alex (Tasha) May of Joplin, MO, and Daughter in law Alethia Watson of West Plains, MO; Grandchildren Sidney (Jacob) Brown, Kaden Lopez, Tatum and Ali Watson, Devin, Brydan, AJ, and Drake May, and a great grand baby on the way; Siblings Julie Current, Theresa (Kerry) Leslie, Angy (Kevin) Jost, Karen (Keith) Goossen, Sandy (LaVerne) Stucky, Loretta Cook, and Bill (Annette) Cook; many cousins, nieces, and nephews and other loved ones. Sherry is preceded in death by Parents Bill Cook, John and Violet Byrd, Son Adam May, and Sister Marsha Brooks.
A Celebration of life will be held on August 6, 2023, from 1-4pm at Heritage Park in Hesston, KS (309 E. Knott st) A private graveside service will be held in Thomasville, MO at a later date.
