Sheryl TaylorLogan - Sheryl Jean Woods Taylor, 51, of Logan, Utah, passed away Thursday, May 28, in Murray, Utah, surrounded by her family, after a courageous battle with cancer.Sheryl was born on July 4, 1963, in Whittier, California. She was the third of four daughters born to Vella Ann Daley and Charles Everett Woods. She spent her early childhood in Whittier and Bellflower, California. At the age of 9 her family moved to Utah. She lived in Bountiful and Snowville, Utah. She attended Bear River High School. She married her best friend, her high school sweetheart, and the love of her life, Kent, on Sept. 5, 1980. They had a love admired by many. Together they had four children. She was a wonderful, loving mother, and she loved and cared for her nieces and nephews, her children's friends and all of the neighborhood children just as she did her own. She later became a loving Meahma to eight grandchildren. She was always gathering and bringing people together and never missed a special event.She enjoyed football and loved NASCAR, but her greatest joy in life was her family. She loved openly and with her whole heart, and friends were loved just like they were part of the family. It was a family that all were honored and proud to be a part of. She is survived by her husband Kent, daughter Jacqueline (Chad), sons, Troy (Tiffany), Alex (Kirsten) and Clinton, and eight grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law Lynn Anderson.Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Allen Mortuary of North Logan. A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 5, at Allen Funeral Home, located at 420 E.1800 N., North Logan. Funeral services will be at noon Saturday, June 6, with a viewing prior to the service from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the Logan 10th Ward chapel, located at 792 N. 500 East.
