Shirley Lewis, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on January 30, 2026, in South Baton Rouge, Louisiana

She was born on August 6, 1946, to John and Henrietta in South Baton Rouge Louisiana. Shirley married Samuel in 1965 and together they raised four children: Anthony, Cj, Sydney, and Cierra.

Shirley was a graduate of Istrouma High School in 1960 and went on to earn her degree from the Delgado community college in 1968. She worked as a nurse until her retirement in 1982.

Shirley had a passion for knitting and spent many hours creating beautiful pieces for her loved ones. She adored her two grandchildren and cherished every moment she spent with them.

Her warm smile, kind heart, and joyful spirit will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Shirley Lewis will be remembered for her love of family, her dedication to her work, and her creative talents.
