Hughes, Shirley A.Shirley A. Hughes, 74, Marshfield, died with family by her side on Monday, November 14, 2016 at Atrium Post Acute Care, Marshfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, November 19, 2016 at St. John's Catholic Church, Marshfield, with Rev. Samuel Martens officiating. Burial will take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Town of Eau Pleine and serving as pallbearers will be grandchildren, Matthew, Zachary and Jaimee Martinson, Ashley Thimmesch, and Tyler Murphy, and her daughter, Peggy Murphy. The visitation will be held from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Friday at Rembs Funeral Home and from 9:30 am on Saturday until service time at St. John's Catholic Church.Shirley was born on October 19, 1942 in Marshfield, to Edgar and Evelyn (Rhodes) Ausbourne Sr., where she attended St. John's Parochial School and Columbus High School. Shirley was united in marriage to Patrick L. Hughes on July 4, 1960 at Christ the King Catholic Church in Spencer. Shirley worked in home day care for many years and was also employed at Figi's and Rainbow Furniture Company in Marshfield. She was a very social person and enjoyed spending time with friends and family and especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed camping, coloring, reading and puzzles. She is survived by her husband, Patrick and their daughters, Angela (Thomas) Martinson of Auburndale and Peggy Murphy of Marshfield. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren, Matthew, Zachary and Jaimee Martinson, Ashley (Joe) Thimmesch and Tyler Murphy (Jessica Zschernitz) and a great grandchild expected on March 11, 2017. She is further survived by her brothers and sisters, Alan Rottscheitt of Spencer, Eileen Ausbourne of Marshfield, Edgar (Joanne) Ausbourne, Jr. of Spencer, William (Julie) Ausbourne of Stratford, Tom Rottscheit of Wausau, Pete (Maxine) Rottcheit of Marshfield, Patricia (Steve) Owen of Oshkosh and Mary Duranceau of Wausau. She was predeceased by her parents, a son-in-law, Kevin Murphy and a brother, Donald Rottcheit.
