Shirley Ann Brinner, 76, of Cox's Creek, died Monday, Aug. 19, 2013, at Flaget Memorial Hospital. She was born on Feb. 23, 1937, in Bullitt County, was a homemaker and member of True Way Ministries.She is preceded in death by a son, Stephen Brinner; her parents, Arthur and Evelyn McCubbins Karr; three brothers; and three sisters.Survivors include her husband, Jerome Brinner; eight daughters, Debbie (Austin) Mattingly, Gail (Charlie) Mudd, Bonnie (Joe Hutchins) Nally, all of Bardstown, Marilyn (Rayburn) Price, Sandy (Wesley) Yates, both of Shepherdsville, Laurie (Glenn) Jones, of Loretto, Pam (Jude) Nally, of New Haven, and Katie Brinner, of San Diego; two sons, Gary Shain, Bardstown, and Ricky (Rita) Shain, of Lexington; 25 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mary Buckles, of Sonora. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 22, at Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home with burial in St. Joseph Cemetery. Brother Randy Buckles will officiate. Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 21, at the funeral home. Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
