Shirley Price, 80, transcended on August 03, 2022. Shirley was born on August 31, 1941. She was born in Detroit, Michigan. Shirley was the second of three girls. All three daughters, Shahazan, Shirley, and Jetume, were raised by a now single father who relied on his East Asian (Indian) upbringing to raise his three daughters. Shirley met and married I.W. Price and relocated to San Francisco, California as a young woman. Shirley would go on to have five children, three daughters, and two sons. After the birth of her children, the family relocated to Oakland, California.

God was at the forefront of Shirley's life, she believed in the teaching of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, and through her beliefs and devotion, she raised her five children. Shirley was a believer in hard work. She worked for Gerber baby foods for several years until health and safety conditions forced her into medical retirement. Shirley used her newly acquired retirement to her advantage by caring for her disabled son and grandchildren.

Shirley had many hobbies. She enjoyed reading autobiographies and loved listening to music. Some of her favorite musical icons included Smoky Robinson and Maxwell. Although the holidays were her favorite time of the year, she anticipated the return of the New York City Macy's day parade. Shirley enjoyed the parade; she would not miss a year.

She was preceded in the call to heaven by her parents, Rosie McWilliams and Ibrahim Khalil Greenim. Unfortunately, Shirley's mother passed away when Shirley was only the tender age of 3.

Shirley leaves behind her five children, Jetume Miller, Khathune Price, Jerome Price, Joynal Price, and Kesha Locey; Her six grandchildren, Khalilah Miller, Sahazan Miller, Kiara Locey, Briea Locey, Najiah Stagge and Khalil Donaby; Eight great-grandchildren Khalise Whitmore, Samirah Whitmore, Mahlea Wingo, Amani Dessureault, Aniya Dessureault, Samir Williams, Khamiyah Williams, and Sai'yre Williams; her sister Sahazan Christian and a host of friends.

Shirley Ann Price was called home by her Father in Heaven; her loving family and friends will truly miss her.

A private memorial will be held to celebrate the life of Shirley Ann Price; your prayers and thoughts will be appreciated.
