Shirley Lee Hearn Lockhart passed away Thursday at Kennestone Hospital in Marietta, Georgia.
She was born on February 21, 1946 to the union of the late Willie Lee and Ruth Mae Hearn in Talladega, Alabama.
She moved to La Grange, GA at an early age, accepted Christ, and joined St. Paul Baptist Church. Later she married Carlton Lockhart and shared two lovely daughters, Willie Ruth and Beverly and remained in La Grange.

She earned several certificates and was recognized for her hard work and dedication and was admired by peers and coworkers. Caring for others was what she enjoyed most. She provided care for anyone who needed it—family members and friends who were sick, elderly and disabled.
She rededicated her life to Christ and joined Faith Temple Church of Deliverance and remained until her death. There she was an avid member who faithfully attended services and served on several boards, auxiliaries and fundraising committees, and was an assistant and close friend to First Lady, Sister Chivers.
