Shirley MorrisApr. 07, 1940 - Nov. 21, 2016BOURBON - Shirley Ellinger Morris, age 76 of Bourbon, passed away on Monday, November 21, 2016 at home after an illness. Shirley was born on April 7, 1940 in Plymouth, Indiana to Kenneth and Eldonna (Inks) Ellinger. She was a graduate of Plymouth High School in 1958. On November 5, 1959 Shirley became the bride of James Morris; he passed away March 17, 2005. Shirley was a member of the Bourbon American Legion Auxiliary; she dressed as a clown for years in Bourbon Summerfest Parade and she was a homemaker until 1977 when she went to work as office manager of Lawmaster Bros. Roofing. Jim and Shirley purchased the business in 1994 where she worked until 2005 when she retired. Family, friends and neighbors were the love of her life. She loved to bake for family and friends and would help anyway possible. She loved Halloween with kids, she would dress up and make special bags, with treats and apples. Shirley also loved Christmas and spoiling grandkids and loved to eat with family and friends. She was always proud of her yard and flower gardens. Shirley will be missed by all in the community.Shirley is survived by her two sons, Brent and Cami Morris of Menomonee Falls, WI, William Morris and Kris Murphy of Rochester, IN; grandchildren: Heather and Josh Bradley of Rochester, Drew Morris of Morristown, NJ and Cole Morris of Philadelphia, PA; great-grandchildren: Kenzie, Kendyll and MaKenna all of Rochester. Special neighbors Bob, Kelley, Marissa and Emma Ross.She was preceeded in death by her husband James in 2005, her son Randy in 2005 and her step-father Harold (Spike) Inks. The Deaton-Clemens Funeral Home is honored to be caring for the Shirley Morris family. A funeral in honor of Shirley will be held on Saturday, at 11:00 AM with Pastor Mark Cottrill of Bourbon United Pentecostal Church officiating. Shirley will be laid to rest next to her husband and son in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Bourbon.The Morris family will receive friends in the Deaton-Clemens Funeral Home, 115 S.
