Shirley ReedSandusky: Shirley Reed, 73, of Fremont, passed away on Thurs., Dec. 29, 2016 at Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky after a 12-year battle with scleroderma. She was born on Aug. 29, 1943 in Waukegan, IL to Don & Mary (Ohl) Hemminger.Shirley graduated from Green Springs High School in 1961. She worked at Integrated Property Management as a book keeper until her retirement in 2008. Shirley was a member of St. John's Church. She worked at Shepard of the Glades in Naples, FL where she did various jobs and book keeping. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and doing puzzles.On Feb. 14, 1981, Shirley married Terry Reed at St. John's Lutheran Church; he survives. Also surviving are children, Michelle Billow of Fremont, Jeff Swift of Fremont and Chad Reed (Jennifer) Dobbs of Queen Creek, AZ; grandchildren, Jason Billow, Toni Jo (Herbert) Eckhart, Sean (Paula) Evans, Clayton Billow, Cody Billow, Tori Swift, Braydon, Dylan and Zackery Dobbs; great-grandchildren, Aurora, Logan, Addison, Baileigh, Miya, Herbie, Dylan and Brice; sister, Sharon (Dennis Claypool) Woessner of Fremont; nephew Chad and niece Mary.Shirley is preceded in death by her parents and son-in-law Buster Billow.Memorial Services will be held Thurs.
