Shirley L. SimsBALTIMORE: Shirley L. Sims, age 85 of passed away at her residence on Sunday September 18th, 2016. She was born on June 25th, 1931 in Baltimore to the late Ross and Blanche Morningstar Springer. She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church in Baltimore. She had 21 years of service with Ohio Bell Telephone and retired as a supervisor, she also worked 15 years in Sims Realty and Insurance with her husband H. Glen Sims.Shirley was survived by her devoted and loving husband of 68 years, H. Glen Sims of Baltimore; daughter, Glenna M. (Dana) Hoisington of Baltimore; grandchildren, Ryan L. (Amber) Hoisington of Baltimore and Erik G. Hoisington; great-grandchildren, Henry L. and Brin Leigh Hoisington; sisters, Charlotte (Edward) Sims of Baltimore, Flora Kea Springer of Hllsboro, and Sharon Springer of Columbus; Brother, Richard Springer of MO; many nieces and nephews in addition to many friends.A funeral service will take place at the JOHNSON-SMITH FUNERAL HOME on Sunday Sept 25th at 2PM. Burial will follow the service at Basil Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will take place on Saturday from 2PM until 4PM and 6PM until 8PM at the funeral home.
