Shirley WarrellAug. 30, 1938 - Oct. 30, 2016SOUTH BEND - Shirley Warrell, 78, of South Bend, IN passed away at 7:00 a.m. Sunday, October 30, 2016 at her home. She was born on August 30, 1938 in Carbon Hill, AL to the late Virgil and Pearlie (Kilgore) Hagood. On October 11, 1956, in Jeffersonville, IN, she was united in marriage to James A. Warrell who survives. They just celebrated their sixtieth wedding anniversary.Shirley is also survived by two sons, Brian Warrell of Osceola, IN and Keith (Cathie) Warrell of South Bend, IN; five grandchildren, Neil (Jessica) Warrell, Trevor Warrell, Makenzi Warrell, Alexa Henry and Tyler Henry; two sisters, Dessie Trimoli and Lessie (James) Chavies, both of Carbon Hill, AL; brother, Raymond Hagood of Seneffer, FL and many beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Yvonne Jenson and Imogene Parker and four brothers, James, Charles, Clarence and Jimmie Hagood.Shirley lived most of her life in South Bend coming from AL at age seventeen. She was the owner and baker of the Village Bake Shop retiring in 2000 after twelve years. She loved children, babies and enjoyed traveling and shopping. Shirley enjoyed cooking for her family and decorating cakes. She attended Granger Community Church.Funeral services will be held at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, November 3, 2016 at Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, 3718 S. Michigan St., South Bend, IN. Friends may visit with the family from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. Thursday prior to the services.
