Silvester G. ToncheAbilene, TXSilvester G. Tonche, 62, passed away peacefully Tuesday, January 03, 2017 at home with family at his side. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00AM, Friday, January 6, 2017 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 5410 Buffalo Gap Road, with Father Fred Nawarskas officiating. Burial will follow at Abilene Municipal Cemetery, directed by Abilene Funeral Home.Mr. Tonche was born on May 31, 1954 in Haskell, Texas to Silbestre Tonche and Isabel Gonzales. He worked for AEP Electric for over 32 years. Silvester was a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church. He was a wonderful husband, father, brother and friend. Survivors include his wife, Rosie Tonche of Abilene; a daughter, Crystal Smith and husband, Billy, of McKinney; a son, Sylvester Tonche and wife, Thalia, of Fort Worth; his mother, Isabel Gonzalez; four sisters, Yolanda Trevino (Richard) of Mansfield, Esther Ortiz (Carlos) of Mansfield, Rosie Tonche of Ft. Worth and Sylvia Ybarra (Danny) of Arlington; a brother, Elias Tonche of Abilene; five grandchildren and one on the way; five Nieces and six Nephews.Mr. Tonche was preceded in death by his father Silbestre Tonche.Honored to be pallbearers include Richard Trevino Jr., Elias Tonche Jr., Jeremy Tonche, Marcus Ybarra, Matias Ybarra, and Joel Espinoza.The family will receive friends at a visitation from 5:00 until 8:00PM, Thursday, January 5, 2017 at the Northwest Church of Christ 1141.
