Simona R. "Mona" Palomo, 94, passed away on Friday, November 11, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. Mona was born on October 27, 1922 and was a lifelong resident of El Paso, Texas. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandma, great grandma, sister, aunt and friend. She was full of life, enjoyed sewing, cooking, gardening, and watching the Dallas Cowboys. Simona is survived by her husband of 66 years, Augustin Pio L. Palomo; children, Agustin Palomo, Jr., Jose Eduardo Palomo, +Jesus Palomo, Magdalena (Sergio) Lopez and Marta (Rafael) Ramirez; 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; brother Apolonio (Kika) Reyes; many loving nieces, nephews, and extended family. We are at peace and blessed knowing that she lived a long and beautiful life. Heaven has gained a beautiful angel. Visitation will be Tuesday, November 15, 2016 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with Vigil Service at 7 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home-Central. Funeral Mass will be Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at Guardian Angel Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Agustin Palomo, Jose E. Palomo, Jose E. Palomo, Jr., Adrian Palomo, Eric Ramirez, Brian Ramirez, Jeremiah Palomo, and Julian Chavez.
