Harlan F. "Skip" Spiller Jr.January 1, 2017Harlan F. "Skip" Spiller Jr. was born on November 23, 1946 in Auburn, Maine to his parents Harlan and Dorothy (McGrath) Spiller Sr. He passed away on January 1, 2017 in Cape Coral, FL following a brief battle with lung cancer.Skip is survived by his family Mary and Dick; sons Chris and Rod; grandchildren Andrew, Aaron, Kari-Anne, Caullin, Hailey, Piper, Grayson, Ethan, and Aiden; 4 great grandchildren; sister in laws Nancy (Henry) Hebb and Ruth (Norm) Belanger; and many extended family and friends who will miss him dearly. Skip is preceded in death by his parents and his sister Donna.Skip served proudly with the US Air Force in South East Asia during Vietnam. He enjoyed the outdoors and helping others. He was a landscaping contractor of Spiller and Son Landscaping and then became a Paramedic in East Tennessee. He soon became one of the co-founders of the Yuppy Puppy Grooming Company in Cape Coral. He had a true passion for all animals and loved to go fishing in the mountains of Maine. He became a pilot and enjoyed flying his Cessna in South Florida. Skip will be greatly missed by all and never forgotten.The family will receive friends for visitation on Thursday, January 5, 2016 from 5 - 6 PM at Harvey-Engelhardt Funeral Home; 1600 Colonial Blvd., Ft.
