Sofia Rangel Craven, 93, passed away peacefully on October 22, 2016, after a long battle with Alzheimer's. Sofia was born on March 10, 1923 in El Paso, Tx. She was a very smart individual who always presented herself in the utmost proper way. She was always dressed to the "T" and had her hair and nails done, no matter what. Sofia was a graduate of Saint Joseph's Academy and worked at Fort Bliss, Texas and White Sands Missile Range. She was preceded in death by her husband Frank Craven, father Jose Isabel Rangel, mother Margarita Candelaria Rangel, and sister Alicia Drogsvold. She is survived by her son John Howard Craven (Yolanda), and daughter Susan Marie Craven; her four beautiful grandchildren, Jaclyn Suzanne Nuñez, Adam Ray Nuñez, Alyssa Christina Garcia (Edgar) and John Christopher Craven. She is also survived by siblings Mague Bañuelos, Alma Delgado, Juan Rangel, Elvia Madrigal, Vicente Rangel, and numerous nieces and nephews. Thank you to the staff at Bienvivir for providing Sofia the excellent care for the past 11 years. Visitation: Thursday, October 27, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. at Mt. Carmel Funeral Home with rosary at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass: Friday, October 28, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church.
