On 06/01/2023, the world lost a true gem, Sofia Guirguis, from Park Forest, Illinois, United States. She was born on 05/08/1941, to her late parents Mena Issa and Maryam Issa. She bravely fought against the adversities of life and emerged victorious in every circumstance. She was a selfless mother, a loving wife, and an incredible human being.
Sofia Guirguis was the epitome of grace, elegance, and resilience. She was married to Aziz Guirguis on 07021963, and their beautiful marriage was blessed with four children: Adel Guirguis with spouse Nabeila Guirguis, Evon Guirguis with spouse Samir Guirguis, and two other children. Her entire life, she devoted her time and energy to her family, ensuring that their needs were met before hers. She was a wonderful mother who instilled strong values of kindness and compassion in her children, which they now proudly carry forward.
Sofia Guirguis was an extraordinary human being who contributed to society in every possible way. She completed her high school from Talaat Harb Industrial Secondary High School and continued her studies in Pharos University, where she graduated with honors. She then pursued her passion for healthcare and became a nurse at Alexandria International Hospital. Her vast knowledge, expertise, and kindness were exceptional and left an indelible impression on all those she served.
On 06/01/2023, Sofia Guirguis passed away peacefully due to heart failure. Although grief-stricken, her family takes solace in knowing that she lived her life to the fullest, touching the lives of all those she encountered. Her memory will live on through her four children and seven grandchildren who will forever cherish her love, wisdom, and compassion.
The loss of Sofia Guirguis is a deep one, and she will be missed dearly. Her legacy of kindness, dedication and selflessness will never be forgotten.
