1940 - 2016Sondra Kay Beamus (Nana) entered into enteral rest on December 13, 2016 at the age of 76. She was born on October 14, 1940 in Fort Worth, TX to Jack P. Leonard and Judy Givens. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend who will be dearly missed.She was preceded in death by her parents and her son Trey. She is survived by her loving husband of 40 years Paul Beamus; children, Timothy P von Scheele, Vicki von Scheele Lenz (Charlie) and Valerie von Scheele Chew (Edgar); Siblings, Suzan Jones, Sharon Blackburn, Kenny Givens, and Lenny Givens, 14 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.Nana loved to sew, bake, garden and was an avid animal lover. She had an amazing sense of humor. She loved to quilt, especially making "Nana blankets" for her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed especially for her "fold-overs" and "Nana tea".Visitation will begin Tuesday, December 20, 2016 from 6p-8p at Sunset Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will begin 11am Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, 6914 Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio 78240 with internment at Sunset Memorial Park.
