Sonia Patrice Crawford was born on July 18, 1970, to Roger Crawford and Ann Taylor Crawford. She died on Wednesday, March 7, 2018, in Washington D.C. after a brief illness. 

Sonia graduated from Waynesboro High School, Class of 1988, and attended college at Virginia State University and Southern Methodist University in Washington, D.C. where she received her bachelor's degree in Business Administration. She was employed for 25 years at the EPA in Washington, D.C. as a Systems Analyst and for 17 years at Express as an Assistant Manager. She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Cecil and Geneva Taylor. 

Sonia is survived by her father, Roger Crawford (Julia); mother, Ann Crawford; brother, Crawford Scott; sister, China-Aminnick; niece Tyisha Scott; nephew Deshaun Crawford, grandmother Hattie Crawford Kelly and grandfather Ezell Crawford.
