Sonja Felicia Ford was born on March 4, 1968, in Quincy, Florida (Sawdust Community), to the Late Willie A. and Lillie B Ford.  Sonja attended Greensboro High School and later obtained her GED.  She furthered her education at Lively Vocational Technical School and received a Certificate of Certified Nursing Assistant.  Sonja worked various jobs at Tallahassee Developmental Center; Riverchase Care Center and Private Duty Positions as a CNA.
