Sophia Costello, 84, of Wetumpka, Alabama, passed away peacefully on July 16, 2023, after a valiant battle with breast cancer. She was born on April 23, 1938, to Angelo Costello and Rachael Capstone.

Sophia was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and resilience. She is survived by her two children: Beth Costello, who is married to Desiree Cabrices, and John Costello, who is married to Beth Costello. Sophia was a devoted grandmother, although the names of her two cherished grandchildren remain undisclosed.

Education played a prominent role in Sophia's life, and she attended Mystic High School. In 1956, she proudly graduated from high school, setting the stage for her many future achievements.

Sophia's career spanned many years, and she made countless contributions to society through her work at Wetumpka Security. Known for her dedication and dependability, she built lasting relationships with her colleagues and earned the respect and admiration of all who knew her.

Despite the challenges life threw her way, Sophia faced them head-on with unwavering courage and a positive spirit. Her battle with breast cancer demonstrated not only her incredible strength but also inspired those around her. Sophia's determination and perseverance were truly remarkable.
