Sophie Ann (Kubic) McCallister(93), died peacefully Saturday, October 8, 2016 with family by her side.  She was born on June 24, 1923 in Middletown, OH and grew up in Webster, MA with her parents and nine other siblings. She met Marvin McCallister, of Decker, IN, while he was serving in the US Navy during WWII and they married on January 12, 1946.  They were residents of Indianapolis and Carmel until his death on October 7, 2013.  Sophie enjoyed visits from family and friends, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.Sophie is survived by their four children: Dennis Lee (Debra) McCallister of Youngstown, Ohio, Ronald Duane (Donna) McCallister of Scottsdale, AZ, Deidra McCallister (Bill) Storey of Noblesville, IN and Diane McCallister (Craig) McElheny of Carmel, IN/Naples, FL. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.Visitation will be at St Ann Catholic Church, 6350 S. Mooresville Road, Indianapolis, IN 46221 on Thursday, October 13, 2016 from noon - 2 p.m. A Rite of Christian Burial mass will be held at 2:00 p.m. with burial immediately following.
