HOMEGOING SERVICES FOR SOPHIE ROLLE

Our Beloved Grandmother, Mrs. Sophie Rolle, passed away peacefully on July 5, 2024, at the age of 86. She was born on July 18, 1937, in Alabama, and spent her life in Hollywood, Florida, United States, where she lovingly raised her family.

Sophie was the cherished daughter of John Harris Sr. and Cora Lee Harris, who preceded her in death. She was married to her devoted spouse, Boston Rolle, for 69 years until his passing in 2017. Together, they raised 4 children: Jonas L. Warner, Rosemary Warner, Cassandra Warner, and Nathaniel Warner Jr. (spouse Susan Warner).

Sophie had a heart of gold and touched the lives of all who knew her. Her warm smile and gentle nature made everyone feel welcomed and loved. She was not only a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother but also a pillar of strength and kindness in her community.

She delighted in her role as a grandmother and leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion to her 10+ grandchildren, including Celeste Warner (Trell) of Atlanta, Dionne Warner of South Carolina, Ashley Warner of Hollywood, Florida, Kimberly Latson of Atlanta, GA, Jovon Warner of Hollywood, Florida, JoDarian Warner and Justin Warner of Miami, Florida, Jamile Warner of Miami, Florida, and Devin Bruce Wyche (TINA). She also had numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren who adored her dearly.

Sophie attended Attucks Jr. High and later pursued a career as a bus driver. In her leisure time, she enjoyed sewing and shopping, hobbies that brought her much joy and fulfillment. Sophie's kindness extended beyond her family, as she volunteered at local community centers and always lent a helping hand to those in need.

The funeral service to honor and celebrate Sophie's life will be held at St. Ruth Missionary Baptist Church, located at 145 NW 5th Ave, Dania, FL 33004, on July 13, 2024, bringing together family and friends who cherished her deeply.

She will forever be remembered for her vibrant personality, infectious laughter, and unwavering love for her family. Her home was always open, and her kitchen was filled with warmth and delicious meals that brought everyone together.

Sophie Rolle's life was a testament to the power of love and compassion. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness and generosity that will continue to inspire and guide us all.

May she rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the love of those she cherished so deeply.
