Stephanie Licon, 74, of Las Cruces, New Mexico, passed on September 28, 2065. Stephanie is survived by her husband Alejandro Licon, her brother Cameron Jean, her children Benjamin and Charlotte, and her grandchildren Abigail, Eric, and Cameron.
Stephanie was born on April 03, 1991, in Saratoga Springs, New York to Roland Jean and Laura Kratzke. She moved to New Mexico at a young age and was raised by Roland and Deborah Jean. At the age of 18, Stephanie met her husband of 56 years in the college dorms. Alejandro, her son Benjamin, and her daughter Charlotte were her ABCs. A fitting theme for a woman who started her working career in the classroom. Her remaining working years were spent working with the elderly. Stephanie worked for several assisted living facilities before eventually opening her own called Community Cares, where she advocated for continued integration of the elderly into the community through volunteer and work-based programs. She believed that through these programs the qualify of life would improve for her residents, and the community would be strengthened by the warmth and stories they shared.
Stephanie will be remembered as a smart, hard-working woman who loved her family above all else. She never missed a soccer game, a marching band performance, or a bedtime. She loved to read, quilt, travel, garden, and had a habit of collecting animals. She loved life, and she lived it well.
Stephanie, never one for tradition, requested that no funeral be held. Please send any flower donations to the residents at Community Cares. The family would love to be joined at 1354 Mystery Avenue for drinks and a baked potato bar because there is no better way to remember our little redhead than with potatoes and whiskey.
You can to the family or in memory of Stephanie Licon.
