Stephanie S. RegensburgFishkill - Stephanie Regensburg died peacefully at her home in Fishkill, NY on Monday, March 6, 2017. She was 87.She was the wife of Albert H. Regensburg, Jr., who predeceased her in 2015. Stephanie was born on April 4, 1929 in Devonshire, New Jersey, the daughter of Michael and Fannie (Rapko) Zarycranski. Both of her parents had emigrated from Eastern Europe and made their home in the Egg Harbor City, NJ area. Stephanie was the last child born into the Zarycranski family that included four older sisters and a brother. Stephanie attended Egg Harbor City schools, but left during high school to help the war effort with her sewing skills. She began work as a seamstress by sewing military uniforms. After she married Albert in 1948, she continued working as a seamstress for Harbor Fashions for many years. During this time, she also cared for her family and children. She was always close to her sisters and brother as well, and enjoyed many holiday family gatherings and summer barbecues. When Stephanie had some spare time, she would make a few dresses for her daughters from patterns that she purchased. First and foremost, she was the perfect mom. After Stephanie moved with her family to Wappingers Falls, NY, she continued working as a seamstress. She also worked in the Housewares Department at Montgomery Ward before retiring. She was always the kind of mom who gave fair advice and information to all of her children, who needed an answer to almost anything, including recipes. Stephanie is survived by her three daughters: Joan Regensburg, Frances Imperato & her husband Mike, and Lisa Sanfilippo & husband Mark; as well as a son, Robert Regensburg. She is also survived by seven grandchildren: Ryan Regensburg, Leezum Regensburg, Jennifer Imperato-Rosa, Christina Imperato, Daniel Alexander, Jr., Ethan Sanfilippo, Noelle Sanfilippo; and seven great-grandchildren.She will be missed by many other loving relatives & friends. In addition to her parents and husband, Stephanie was also predeceased by two great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 12 to 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 11 at St. Nicholas Church, 525 St. Louis Ave., Egg Harbor City, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 1 p.m., followed by interment at Egg Harbor City Cemetery.
