Stephen Lee FinchMarch 18, 1959 - July 29, 2016Stephen Lee Finch, 57, of Nampa, Idaho passed away on Friday, July 29, 2016 in Huntington, Oregon. He was born on March 18, 1959 in Montpelier, Idaho to Delbert and Maxine Finch. Stephen is survived by his mother, Maxine; sons and their wives: Steve and Kori, Charlie and Elise, Noah and Ashley; sisters and their husbands, Sharon and Dave Thomas, Kathy and Jerry Holden; granddaughters, Natalie and Leigha; and many loving nieces, nephews, and extended family. He was preceded in death by his brother David, and his father, Delbert. He was a caring person and friend to all. Stephen's favorite times were with his family. You could often find him watching football with his boys, drinking coffee or walking his dog Grizzly. He worked at the United States Postal Service for many years, and gained a lot of lasting friendships that he cherished. He enjoyed listening to and playing music, where he excelled at the guitar and harmonica. A favorite artist of his was Neil Young; he loved to sing and play his songs. Steve also had a great passion for helping people and in recent years he took up balloon tying and clown acting to bring happiness to many in our community. He dedicated his life to his family, friends, faith and to anyone who needed a smile or helping hand. A special thank you to the Oregon State Police for their efforts and support. A time of gathering and remembrance will be held on Friday, August 5, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. at Kohlerlawn Cemetery at 76 6th St North, Nampa, ID 83687 followed by a celebration of life at Trinity Lutheran Church, 8 S.Midland Blvd., Nampa, ID 83651.
