Baker, Stephen Michael 27 of Scottsdale, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, September 15, 2017. Stephen was born on July 14, 1990, in Greensboro, North Carolina, the son of Dennis and Wanda Baker. In 2002, his family relocated to Virginia and he attended Stafford Middle School in Stafford, Virginia. He moved to Scottsdale, Arizona with his family in 2004 and graduated from Desert Mountain High School in 2008. Stephen graduated from Arizona State University with a bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice. He worked at In-N-Out throughout his college career and continued there following graduation. Stephen was a gracious and generous man who touched many lives with his kindness and keen sense of humor. Stephen always made himself available to everyone he loved; he was selfless in that way. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him. He is survived by his mother and father, Wanda and Dennis Baker; his brother, David Baker; and his sisters Sarah Moyer and Anna Baker. In lieu of flowers, contributions in remembrance of Stephen may be made to the Brennan Center for Justice at New York University School of Law.
