Steven Daniel Robitaille Obituary

Mar 22, 1977 - May 21, 2024

This obituary is administered by:

Steven Robitaille, 47, of Sabattus, Maine, passed away unexpectedly at home with his family by his side on May 21, 2024. Steve attended Lewiston high school and graduated in 1995. Following graduation, Steve joined a magazine crew and traveled the country. He prided himself in knowing that he had visited every state in the continental US. He then went on to establish SDR Co and loved working on the road with his friends.

Born in Lewiston on March 22, 1977, he was the beloved son of Dolores and Robert Robitaille both of Lewiston, Maine. He currently lived in Sabattus with his Fiance, Heather Marsh and their son Aidan Robitaille. Steven is survived by his sister Stacey Chase of Sabattus, and her husband Kevin. His brother Scott Robitaille of Auburn. His grandparents Donald and Jeannine Robitaille of Lewiston and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephew.

He was a loving father to his son Aidan, who was Steve's pride and joy. He was very involved in his sons life. His favorite past time was watching Aidan play hockey. He loved hockey so much that he built an impressive backyard rink, not only for his son, but for his sons friends as well, often hosting parties for his sons whole hockey team. Steve was an avid Detroit Red Wings fan. He was working on taking his son to every NHL rink. They made it to 17 out of 32.

There were sides of Steve that not too many people got to see. Steve enjoyed getting dressed up to take Heather on "date nights" often attending his favorite opera singer, Andrea Bocelli's concerts in Boston, his favorite city. He loved to stay home and watch his favorite movie, Les Miserables, smiling and singing every song at the top of his lungs. He loved the beautiful roadside scenery, often stopping to take pictures on the side of the road. Steve wasalso a family man, writing poems to his loved ones, letting them know how much he cared.

Steven will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and dedication to family and friends. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Although Steve's life was cut short, he lived life to the fullest with his "go big or go home" attitude. Steve was all about the kids. Well he was actually just a big kid himself. Steve lived by his word, dedication and loyalty to friends and family. Steve would give the shirt of his back to those in need and has helped so many. From hosting 3 on 3 hockey tournaments for charity, to putting on the biggest Easter egg hunts for his community. Gone too young, the world is missing a great man, a son, father, and a great friend. You are now wearing those "Detroit Red Wings" you were always so proud to represent. Rest easy Red Wing. Until we meet again.

Steve was pre-deceased by his aunt , Nicole Lagasse and his grandparents, Roger and Giselle Lagasse of Lewiston.
