Halbesleben, StevenSteven "Hopper" Halbesleben, age 64, passed away on June 13, 2017 at Colonial Center in Colby, Wisconsin. Steve was born on May 20, 1953, in Wausau, Wisconsin to Theodore "Ted" and Carmen (Wincentsen) Halbesleben. Steve's first passion was music and playing his guitars followed by his love of old cars, especially the Studebakers. He also enjoyed many years on the road driving truck. He is survived by children Jessica (Jason) Swemke, Justin (Khara) Halbesleben, and Jason Halbesleben all of WI; grandchildren Micah, Kaenon and Kade. He is further survived by siblings Beryl "Cookie" Thompson, Kelly (Linda) Halbesleben, Candace "Cande" Campbell all of WI, and Robin (Jolene) Halbesleben of MA; sister-in-law Cheryl Suchon of WI; aunt Colleen "Sis" Wincentsen of WI; two step-siblings Kathleen "Peachy" Schultz of WI and Peter Kramer of Ill; Louise (Wolfe) Borchardt, mother of children Jessica, Justin and Isaac; Linda Haig, mother of son Jason; good friend and caregiver Richard Lee and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.Steve was preceded in death by infant son Isaac Halbesleben, parents Ted Halbesleben and Carmen Kramer, stepfather Leonard Kramer, brother Ross Halbesleben, and stepsister Karen Klug.A private graveside memorial will take place at Hogarty Riverside Cemetery with a celebration of life to follow.
