Steven Kimball HazardSteven Kimball Hazard was born on October 17, 1941, in Needham, MA. He passed away on February 22, 2017, at the age of 75. A private memorial will be held at a later date. Steve was preceded in death by his parents Emily and Earl Hazard. He is survived by his beautiful wife of 51 years Jan Hazard, son Doug Hazard, daughter Laura and her husband Mike Bishop, daughter Christine and her husband Chris Barron, grandchildren Audrey Hazard, Parker Hazard, Emily Bishop, Anne Bishop, Francie Bishop, and Clark Barron, sister Martha Hazard, and brother-in-law Norm Beattie and wife Maggie. As a young man, Steve was a member of the Needham baseball team that participated in the 8th Little League World Series in Cooperstown, NY, in 1954. Steve went on to attend the University of Maine where he coached the university's hockey team. He graduated in 1965 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He married his high school sweetheart, Jan, that same year. Steve began a career in the paper industry and moved his young family to Alabama and then Louisiana. He worked in the paper industry for over 50 years. Pop enjoyed spending time every summer on Dauphin Island with his family. Pop will be remembered for his big laugh and even bigger personality.
