Steven M. PaganoHyde Park - Steven M. Pagano, 60, of Hyde Park passed away on Sunday, November 20, 2016, at home, with family by his side. Steven was born on January 30, 1956 in New Rochelle. He was the son of Sabino J. Pagano and Phillis Pandoli Pagano (and companion Robert Losee), all of Hyde Park.Mr. Pagano joined the Navy Seabees in 1973 and worked as part of a construction battalion on an island in the Indian ocean. Steven talked about his Navy days often and kept in touch with fellow servicemen. He was very proud of his service.Steven eventually became an insurance adjuster and worked at various companies throughout the next 30 years. He retired from Nationwide Insurance in 2015. He was known as a go-getter and a people person with his charismatic personality. His smile would light up a room.On May 16, 2015 Steven married the former Sharon Brannigan Jordan. Mrs. Pagano survives at home.In addition to his wife, Steven is survived by his two sons, Steven M. Pagano Jr. (and wife Kym) and Nicholas Pagano, all of Poughkeepsie; daughter, Misti Mangel, and husband, Russell, of San Diego, California; brother, Gary Pagano (and Terri Cronk) of Hyde Park; sister, Susan Travis, and husband, Delbert, of Newburgh. He was pre-deceased by a sister, Paula Pagano Jappen, in 2013.Steven also leaves many nieces and nephews and grandchildren as well as many friends who loved him dearly. Steven's favorite pastime was camping with family and friends. He enjoyed taking his RV to various vacation spots and enjoying himself. He will be missed by all.Calling hours will be from 5 to 8 pm, Wednesday, November 23rd at Sweet's Funeral Home, Inc., Rte. 9, Hyde Park.Funeral services with U. S. Naval honors will be at 7 pm during the calling hours.
