KENOSHA - Steven Schmidt, 62, passed away on Saturday March 14, 2015 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Steven was born on April 23, 1952 in Racine, Wis. the son of George F. & Rosalie A. (Urick) Schmidt. He was educated in the schools of Racine. Steven & Sheryl were together for 22 years & married on Sept. 19, 1998. He was employed in the Automobile Business for many years. Steven was a musician, songwriter, passionate about the blues, and traveled with his wife all around the country attending Blues Festivals. He was a member of M.A.A.M. His hobbies included woodworking and spending time with his family & friends, especially his grandchildren and great granddaughter. Survivors include his wife, Sheryl of Kenosha; children, Paul (Anne) Schmidt of Kenosha, Jennifer Schmidt of Racine; father, George Schmidt of Racine; brother, Damion Schmidt of Sturtevant; sisters, Sandy (Dean) Dickbreder of Racine, Linda Schmidt of Racine; grandchildren, Brittany, Shawna, Skylar, Savannah, Gabriela, Noah, Giovanni; a great granddaughter, Victoria Rose. Steven was preceded in death by his mother, Rosalie. A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, March 20, 2015 at Lord of Life Lutheran Church, 5601-Washington Rd., Kenosha, WI 53142, from 5-6:00 p.m. with a memorial service to follow at the Church.
