SOUTH BEND — Sue E. Sipe, 73, passed away at 2:06 p.m. Saturday, June 7, 2014, at Hospice House, South Bend. She worked as a bookkeeper, retiring in 2001 from Penrod Tax Service and previously worked at McGladry-Pullin Accounting. Sue was born on August 16, 1940, in Noble County, IN to Theodore "Ted" and Avis (Brown) Dickey. On June 3, 1962, in Kendallville, Ind., she married Thomas L. Sipe, who survives. She has lived in South Bend since January 1964 coming from Ohio. Sue is survived by her loving husband, Tom; two sons, Gary Sipe of Joliet, Ill., and Mark Sipe of El Dorado, Ark.; five grandchildren, Eric Sipe, Thomas Sipe, Steven Sipe, Olivia Sipe and Maggie Sipe; her mother, Avis Dickey of Kendallville; her brother, David (Penny) Dickey of Kendallville; and one sister-in-law, Maxine (Russell) Healey of Rhineville, Ky. Sue was very active in church; a charter member of Deer Run Church of Christ. She taught Bible School at River Park Church of Christ and Deer Run Church of Christ; and was also able to serve and share her faith as a member of the Ladies Circle. Sue graduated from the International Business College, Fort Wayne. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 12, 2014, at Deer Run Church of Christ, 2730 S. Ironwood Drive, South Bend. Pastor David Honeycutt of Deer Run Church of Christ will officiate. Graveside services and burial will take place at 4 p.m. at South Milford Cemetery, Kendallville, Ind. Friends may visit with the family from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at Palmer Funeral Home-River Park Chapel, 2528 Mishawaka Ave, South Bend. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Sue E.
