Suresh Raghubir, born on March 5, 1929, passed away on May 14, 2024, in Franklin Square, New York, United States. He was the beloved son of Bayo Raghubir and Amrita Parshad-Raghubir. Suresh was married to Lalita Rajkumar-Raghubir in 1955 and they had two children, Yogita Raghubir (spouse Morris) and Carmin Raghubir (spouse Waldropt). He also leaves behind three grandchildren. Anita Waldropt, Chantel Waldropt, Jolene Elysia Morris. He also leaves behind two great grandchildren. Jayden Waldropt Caracciolo Dominic Waldropt.
Suresh dedicated his career to serving his country, working as a Corporal Officer in Trinidad and Tobago before retiring in 1987 He continued to serve in the TTDF as a Squadron Leader in the Air Force unit for 35 years, demonstrating unwavering commitment and dedication to his duties.
Apart from his work, Suresh had a passion for playing and making Steel Pan instruments, enriching the cultural heritage of his community. His talents and skills brought joy to many and will be remembered fondly by all who had the pleasure of experiencing them. He also made sure to teach his grand children and great grand children the riches of our country and the cultural heritage of the music of Trinidad and Tobago
Sadly, Suresh Raghubir passed away due to Ischemic Stroke caused by blood clots in the brain. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched during his time on Earth. We are grateful to his time served for his country and his family. May he rest in peace and sleep eternally, and continue to watch over his family and the people that he loves and who loves him.
