Susan Hillier Clayton 1957 ~ 2016Susan Hillier Clayton passed away at home on November 13, surrounded by her family. Susie will always be remembered for her sweet smile and loving nature. She was born on November 4, 1957 to Chick and Helen Hillier. She was a Sterling Scholar of music at Skyline High School. She married Jeff Clayton on June 3, 1978 and they had four children. Susie loved music, running, the outdoors, and most of all her family. She sang in the Mormon Tabernacle Choir for 16 years, taught private cello lessons, and composed music. She loved genealogy work and used her artistic creativity to compile several family histories. Her sweet spirit blessed all who knew her. She set a loving example as a wife and mother and she will be greatly missed. She is survived by her husband, Jeff, and their children Sarah Clayton, Jennifer Ducourant (Jeremiah), Steve Clayton (Cassidie), and Stephanie Clayton, and by her father, Charles Hillier, her sister, Jane Clark (Elliot) and her twin brother, Scott Hillier (Julia), and by her 5 grandchildren.A viewing will be held from 6-8 PM Friday and one hour prior to services at the LDS church on 12110 S. 1300 W. Riverton. Funeral services will be on Saturday at 11 AM with the interment at Riverton Cemetery. www.broomheadfuneralhome.com
