Susan Denise Sommer, 66, passed on June 19, 2021 at her daughters home. She fought lung cancer so bravely.

She was born to Paul O'Roark and Marilyn McWilliams in Elmhurst, Illinois on June 17, 1955.

She and Fred Hall lived together in Malta, Illinois. They loved to rescue, and take care of cats. The cats were her babies and brought so much joy.

Susan, raised 2 children with Michael Sommer. Sandy Sommer-Tyndal (Brian Tyndal), and late son Shaun Sommer. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren whom she adored. Corina Sommer, Alexa Polfliet, Morgan Polfliet, and Haley Polfliet. Aiden Sommer is her great grandchild who calls her Gigi.

Susan worked at Walmart until she had to retire in 2020. She loved to joke around and made some lasting friendships.

She will be missed by all, including her sister Patricia Linder (James Linder) her nephew Richard Sorensen (Michelle Sorensen) and lots of nieces, nephew, cousins and certainly close friends.
